Granite Dealer
How Granite Dealer works in practice — verifying the lot, the paperwork that protects you, lead times, storage and what to reserve.

Granite Dealer, in plain specification
Written for the decision, not for the mood board.
Good granite dealer shows up as an uneventful project. The material matches the approval, arrives when the programme calls for it, is stored correctly and has a reserve for the repair in year three.
Granite Dealer is a paperwork discipline as much as a commercial one. The lot you approved, the batch number on the invoice, the photographs before dispatch and the reserve held back — those four things settle nearly every dispute that would otherwise surface on site.
Two homes can specify granite dealer identically and get different results, because site conditions differ: slab level, wall plumb, humidity, water hardness and how the household lives. The specification is a starting point that we adjust against the survey.

How to choose granite dealer
Six checks that prevent the failures we are most often called to fix.
- Buy against the actual lot, and get it photographed with the batch number before dispatch. This one habit prevents most supply disputes.
- Ask for the grade and batch to be printed on the invoice. A warranty claim is decided by the invoice, not the conversation.
- Reserve 10–15% from the same lot for cuts, breakage and future repair. Matching a lot two years later is not possible.
- Confirm who unloads, who stores and who is liable for damage at each stage. Most breakage happens between the truck and the room.
- Establish the lead time honestly, especially for imported material, and build the site programme around it rather than the other way round.
- For imported material, ask what happens if the container is delayed — the answer belongs in the schedule before it becomes a problem.
Bangalore
Granite Dealer in Bangalore
What the city's climate, water, housing stock and society rules mean for this specification.
Most of our work is in Bangalore, and the city sets a few conditions worth knowing before specifying granite dealer. The climate is the kindest in India to timber and joinery — no extreme dry heat, no coastal salt — but the monsoon runs long, and humidity between June and October is what tests every edge, seal and ventilation gap in a home.
Hard borewell water in Whitefield, Sarjapur Road, Hebbal and Yelahanka leaves scale on glass, chrome and stone within months. Where the supply is hard we specify surfaces and fittings that tolerate it, and we tell the family the honest maintenance routine rather than leaving them to discover it.
Most societies here allow work between roughly 9am and 6pm, restrict Sundays, require a service-lift booking and hold a debris deposit. That schedule is written into the programme at the start, because a plan that assumes twelve working hours a day will slip in its first week.
Traffic decides delivery windows more than distance does. Material moving to Whitefield, Sarjapur or Electronic City is scheduled outside peak hours, and large items are checked against the lift and stair turn before the order rather than on delivery day.
Our Bangalore projects run with a named project manager and a written weekly site report, which is what keeps a fit-out on programme in a city with restricted working hours.
Sizing
Granite Dealer by home size
Quantities below are what a project of each size usually orders, including the reserve we recommend holding from the same lot.
| Home size | Typical scope | Planning note |
|---|---|---|
| 1 BHK | 1 lot, 10% reserve | Compact planning, one clear gesture |
| 2 BHK | 1–2 lots, 10% reserve | Standard scope, most common brief |
| 3 BHK | 2 lots, 12% reserve | Full scope with storage planned in litres |
| 4 BHK | 3 lots, 12% reserve | Extended scope, bespoke elements |
| 4+ BHK / Villa | Single block reserved, 15% | Villa scale, bespoke throughout |
Cost
What moves the price of granite dealer
We quote line by line rather than per square foot, because these are the items that actually differ between two estimates.
- Grade and lot quality, which is the real variable behind two very different quotes for the same-sounding material.
- Freight and, for imports, duty and consolidation.
- Wastage allowance, which pattern matching increases sharply.
- Storage and handling, including any craning or lift restrictions.
- Site support and supervised installation.
Process
How the work runs
Five stages, with the decisions each one locks.
We measure the space ourselves rather than working from the builder's drawing, note the services, water quality, daylight and society rules, and write down how the room is actually used. Granite Dealer is specified against that survey, not against a catalogue.
Plans, elevations and details, with the specification written as grades and dimensions. You approve an elevation, not a render — this is the stage where changes cost nothing.
Material, finish, hardware and services are locked, and the estimate becomes a line-by-line document. We tell you exactly what this date locks and what can still change afterwards.
Factory production runs to the approved drawing while site work is prepared. Material is checked against the approved sample on arrival, in daylight, and stored correctly until the programme calls for it.
Installation, testing, snagging and a documentation file with drawings, warranties, decor codes and hardware models. A first-year service visit is scheduled at handover.
Living with it
Maintaining granite dealer
The honest routine, and the mistakes that cost the most to undo.
Care and maintenance
- Inspect on delivery, in daylight, against the approved sample and the packing list.
- Record shortfalls and damage the same day, in writing, with photographs.
- Keep the reserve stock in the same conditions as the installed material.
- Retain invoices, certificates and batch records with the project handover file.
What goes wrong
- Ordering from a small sample without seeing the lot.
- Buying exactly the measured quantity with no reserve.
- Accepting delivery without checking it against the approved sample.
- Letting material sit on site for weeks before installation.
Detailing
Granite Dealer detailing notes
The small decisions that separate built work from assembled work.
Material should arrive after the wet trades are done and before the finishing trades start. Early delivery means damage; late delivery means idle labour.
Store slabs vertically on an A-frame and boards flat, off the ground, under cover. Most site damage is a storage decision.
Tag every slab or bundle to its intended location before it is moved into the building.
Keep a photograph record of the batch markings; it settles nearly every later question in one minute.
Questions
Granite Dealer — answered
How do I verify what I am buying?
See the actual lot, get it photographed with the batch number before dispatch, and have the grade and batch printed on the invoice. Those three steps settle almost every dispute before it starts.
What lead time should I plan for?
One to three weeks for domestic stock, six to twelve weeks for imported material. Import timing is the item most likely to move a project's finish date, so it is confirmed before the site programme is set.
How much extra should be ordered?
Ten to fifteen per cent over the measured quantity, held from the same lot, covering cuts, breakage and a future repair.
Who is responsible for damage in transit?
Whatever the delivery terms say, which is why they belong in writing. We inspect in daylight against the approved sample on the day of delivery and record any issue immediately.
Can material be reserved before the site is ready?
Yes, and for imported or single-lot material it usually should be. Reserved stock is stored properly and released to site when the programme calls for it, which avoids both damage and delay.
Is installation included?
Supply and installation are quoted separately so both are transparent. Where we supervise installation, the responsibility for the finished result sits with us rather than being split.
Do you work on granite dealer projects across Bangalore?
Yes — Bangalore is where most of our projects are, from apartments along Sarjapur Road, Whitefield and Hebbal to independent homes in Jayanagar, Indiranagar and Malleshwaram. We survey the space ourselves, work within the society's access and working-hour rules, and hand over with a documentation file. There is a dedicated page for our work in the city if you want the full picture.
Does Bangalore's climate or water affect this choice?
The climate helps and the water does not. Mild year-round temperatures are kinder to timber and joinery than almost any other Indian city, so craft detailing lasts. Hard borewell water in the eastern and northern corridors is the real constraint — it scales glass, chrome and stone, and it changes what we specify and what maintenance we ask the family to commit to.
