We specify before we style

Every project starts with measurement, circulation and storage volume. Material and colour come after the plan works, not before. A room that photographs well but forces you to walk around an island to reach the sink has failed at the only stage that mattered.

Drawings you can hold us to

You receive plans, elevations and a material schedule — not just a render. The estimate is line by line against that schedule, so you can see exactly what each decision costs and change it before anything is cut.

Manufacture to a tolerance

Carcasses are cut on a CNC line to the approved drawing and edge-banded on all four sides. Hardware is specified to the load it actually carries, not to a price point, and every cut edge made on site is sealed.

Accountable to handover

One programme, one site supervisor and one point of contact. Snagging is closed before handover, not listed at it.

Materials are chosen for the decade, not the handover photograph

Every material on this site is specified with a grade, a substrate and a finish, because that is what a warranty is actually enforced against. A quartz countertop, a BWP carcass or a powder-coated hinge is named by its rating, not by an adjective, and the same discipline runs through every one of the 28 categories and six house styles this studio designs in.

India first, not India-adapted

The specification starts from Indian conditions — humidity, hard water, dust, monsoon swelling, daily cooking — rather than starting from a European or American standard and adjusting it afterwards. A ventilated wardrobe carcass and a sealed cut edge are not upgrades here; they are the default, because the default has to survive an Indian bathroom and an Indian kitchen.

One team, one drawing, one accountable outcome

Design, manufacture and site execution report to the same studio rather than to three separate businesses handing a project between them. When something goes wrong — and on any real construction site, something eventually does — there is one place to raise it and one team that already has the drawing, the material schedule and the history of the decision.

What we learned building this way

Every specification decision on this site — the material grades, the hardware ratings, the ventilation details — reflects something learned from an actual installation, not a starting assumption that was never revisited. A studio that manufactures and installs its own designs gets that feedback loop directly; one that only designs does not.

Why we publish the specification rather than keep it as a trade secret

Because a specification that cannot survive being shown is not one worth having. Every material grade, every hardware rating and every dimension on this site is something we are prepared to be held to — publishing it is a discipline on us as much as information for you.

What we would say to someone comparing us against a well-known chain

Ask the chain for the same three things we publish by default: the exact carcass grade, the hardware brand and cycle rating, and the exclusions list. The comparison is fair once both quotes are answering the same specification, and that is the comparison worth making rather than one based on brand recognition alone.

What we still get wrong sometimes

Estimating civil correction on an older building before we have opened a wall, mostly — it is the one variable a measured survey cannot fully see in advance. We flag it as a contingency line rather than pretend to a precision we do not have.

What we would want a new client to know before the first call

Bring the constraint, not just the wish list — an existing kitchen you are keeping, a budget ceiling, a room you cannot touch. Constraints make a first design conversation faster and more useful than an open brief does.
