4 BHK

Full Home Interiors Design for a 4 BHK

In a 4 bhk of 1,700-2,200 sq ft, the full home interiors typically works to 4 BHK, 1,700-2,200 sq ft. A whole-home project is a coordination problem. One drawing set, one material palette, one installation sequence — which is the only way the finishes actually line through from room to room.

Planning note

Full Home Interiors at 4 bhk scale

At 1,700-2,200 sq ft, the constraint on a full home interiors is usually circulation rather than storage — there is enough wall to plan the volume in, but not enough floor to plan around a mistake. 4 BHK, 1,700-2,200 sq ft is the dimension we hold to because it is the largest the room comfortably allows, not the largest that would fit on paper.

The most common planning mistake at this size is drawing the full home interiors first and fitting the circulation around what is left over, rather than the other way round.

The design freeze is the most important date in the project. Everything before it is cheap to change and everything after it is not.

Ask for the services drawing — electrical, plumbing, AC — and keep a copy with photographs before the ceilings close.

A weekly written site report with photographs prevents nearly every dispute that would otherwise surface at handover.

Snagging should be a scheduled stage with a defined window, not a conversation after the last payment.

Get the drawing set defined in the contract: plans, elevations, electrical layouts and joinery details. Working from 3D renders alone is how sites go wrong.

What moves the estimate at this size

  • Scope: design only, design and execution, or full turnkey with civil work.
  • Joinery quantity in running feet, which dominates most estimates.
  • Finish level and hardware specification.
  • Civil and electrical work, which is the most common source of variation.
  • Furniture, lighting and styling, which are separate budgets and are often forgotten.

Questions

Full Home Interiors questions

What does a turnkey interior project actually include?

Design and drawings, all modular and bespoke joinery, false ceilings, electrical and lighting layouts, painting, flooring where in scope, bathroom and kitchen fit-out, and installation and handover. Furniture and soft furnishing are usually a separate line.

How long does a full home take?

45 days for a 2BHK of standard scope from design sign-off, 55–75 days for a 3–4BHK, and longer where there is civil work, stone or bespoke furniture. Delays almost always come from changes after sign-off, not from the factory.

Is it cheaper to do the whole home at once?

Usually yes, by 10–15%. One site mobilisation, one installation team and one material order beats three separate phases — and it is the only way the detailing genuinely matches across rooms.

Can we live in the house during the work?

For a single-room scope, yes. For a full home, it is far better not to — dust from ceiling and civil work travels through the whole flat and the programme stretches considerably.

What is fixed and what can change after sign-off?

Finishes and hardware can often change within the same price band up to production release. Layout, carcass sizes and electrical positions are locked at sign-off because the factory cuts to that drawing.
